Character Information
Name: Rin Kagamine
Canon: Vocaloid
Age: 14
(Brief) Canon Description singing robots
Personality/Background An energetic and adventurous girl, to contrast a more sensible twin brother in Len. She is proud and selfish, as well as jealous and insecure. Her greatest loves in life include oranges, Len, and crushing her enemies (and sometimes minor annoyances) beneath the wheel of her roadroller. She's also very competitive. A big part of Rin's motivations is the goal of dethroning Miku of her spot as the number 1 Vocaloid and standing in the Vocaloid rankings.
Plot Information
Motivations Popularity is one of the major goals that Rin always strives for, and so she'll be mainly playing up that aspect of the game. If her fans overwhelmingly want her to kill, she could very well do it based on that alone. However, for extra spice, anything involving her twin brother Len would be a good motive as well, whether it's getting to spend time with him or having to save him.
Memory Loss She'll forget about all the other Vocaloids, except maybe Len depending on if he'll be used as her motive or not.
Skills An entertainer, mostly. She can sing, dance and play various musical instruments.
Also, if having a different body than 'human' is a skill that would be allowed: she's a robot. It narrows down the ways you can kill her; she's roughly about as durable as a car. It wouldn't be very effective if you tried to stab her, but bullets or fire would do the trick, and so on. Also her "vital" points would not necessarily be in the same places as a human. For example if you were to bash her head in or decapitate her, she probably wouldn't die, as the head is more like a computer monitor; she'd just become blind and unable to speak if you did that. It would be better to aim for the torso, which contains her motherboards and stuff.
Items A laptop computer that she uses to store songs and backup her memory/personality/AI shit data. (Possibly usable for "Alter Ego"-esque shenanigans?) (Obviously her memory will have been erased from the laptop as well. Or you could even put fake memories in it that will make her ax crazy when she downloads them....)
Murder Mystery Let's suppose the motive is sheer popularity. Rin carefully selects a victim out of people who could be considered her closest rivals - that is, one of the other pretty girls!
During the night she lures the girl to come to the Parlor through some deception. Rin hides in the conservatory until the victim is in there, then she sneaks into Parlor, where she pins her down under her body and suffocates her. Then she discreetly drags the body (it's a very small and light victim!!) around the outside of the mansion, enters the kitchen from the ballroom and stashes the body under the rolling buffet's tablecloth. To create misdirection, she carefully stabs a kitchen knife into the corpse's back, but leaves it inside so it won't bleed too much. The strong smell of the breakfast food (like bacon and sausage) is enough to mask the body for the first few hours of the morning, and then the table takes the body back to the kitchen.
Now, let's assume there's some agreed-on PLOT THING that's drawing most people away from the ballroom area after breakfast, which she is taking advantage of. However, there's a small handful of people who decided not to participate in the THING. These are the people Rin is trying to cast suspicion on.
Having said that, she proceeds with the next step of her plan to obscure the time of the murder and create a false crime scene. She pretty much just rolls the body out from under the tablecloth, puts the knife somewhere to implicate another suspect (like the Ruby Wing, if at all possible), and hurries to the THING to create an alibi where she couldn't have had the time to stab the victim in the kitchen.
Weak points are: The fact that the victim was missing through breakfast is suspicious, and so is the lack of defense wounds, screams or anything. There may also be signs of the body being moved outside, like drag marks and dirt on the front of the clothes. Really the case is full of so much twisty bullshit there are probably a million holes... She just REALLY wanted to use the magic rolling table to hide a body. The "rolling" part is a secretive nod to her fans (who gave her a "road roller" for a character item), plus it's simply too weird not to use! And a corpse under breakfast is too creepy to resist...
You see, the reason Rin would do twisty bullshit at all is because she's trying to impress people with this murder. I think it would be hilarious if the group figured that out - they'd probably be wondering why the HELL the killer would go to the trouble of moving the body all the way to the other side of the mansion and needlessly complicate things so much, and if they figured out popularity as the motive then Rin would be fucked because she'd be incredibly transparent about it being one of the driving factors in her life. Someone could catch her winking at the camera.
